I've been doing some figurative drawing and it feels great! I don't get to draw from a nude model very often. I would like to start doing some figurative painting too.

Rockaway Beach banner

I did a banner for New york news site, Capital New York. With the heat wave we're currently getting in the city, the Editor and I thought it would be nice to do a banner on Rockaway Beach, since most New Yorkers are frequenting there this summer.

Here are two color sketches.

We ended up going with the second sketch, only with a few more people in it like in the first one. Also, the beach signs have been removed and "Rockaway Beach" is now in the sky.
