Helmet-2-Helmet

I did this illustration about the severity of helmet-to-helmet hits in the game of American Football. A helmet-to-helmet hit is when a player hits another player while leading with his helmet, banging his helmet into his opponent's.

1. Thumbnail Sketch. Small thumbnail sketch to work out the composition. I was going for action and I wanted the hit to look like it hurt.


2. Drawing. I chose to give the background action lines, kind of like a comic book.

Starved

Hi all!

Also, I just finished doing a bunch of paintings and drawings for a film about aliens for Time Traveler Arts. I'm not sure exactly how my images are going to be used in the film, but once the film is finished I will post the images online (and maybe a link to some video footage).

Society of Illustrators

Hello everyone. I hope all is well.

I wanted to say congratulations to everyone who got into the Society of Illustrators 2009 Student Show, especially all of my fellow SVA people and friends from other schools! The Astromonger's Monster Challenge

Here's the video for The Astromonger Show that was held at the Showroom NYC. The video is in two parts. I am actually in the second part of the video. The show was a great success and had an excellent turnout. Thank you to everyone who made it out on that cold January night.
I come across pretty dumb in the video though, which isn't fair because I already had a few drinks...
